ABOUT ABOUT

Jupiter and Saturn will be the closest in our sky that anyone has seen since the year 1226, almost 800 years ago! You can witness this with your own eyes, and it will still be special. But what we're hoping for is the ability to see both Jupiter and Saturn in the same field of view in a telescope. We are going to try to make this happen for you in a live, virtual event — weather and technical challenges permitting! Jupiter and Saturn will be low in the southwest, so don't get your hopes up for the clearer view you can get when they are higher in the sky, but we'd like to give you a chance to witness this event.

Note that this was originally scheduled for Monday, December 21, but the forecast is for the sky to be totally overcast on Monday. Trying again Tuesday!

ONLY ONE ticket required per household. We will send you a Zoom link via email on the day of the event.
